Baie-Comeau

• Industrial tours
  Aluminium mill of the Reynolds Company. Cargill's grain storage elevator, the largest in Canada.

• Symposium de peinture
  For six days, several dozen Canadian painters meet and work outdoors. Workshops, demonstrations and discussions with the artists (June).

• Manic-2 power station
  The world's largest hollow-joint gravity dam. 22 km (14 mi) from Baie-Comeau.

  This Indian an Inuit museum houses a collection of native art.

Pointe-des-Monts

• Lighthouse
  One of the oldest lighthouses in Nordh America, built in 1830.

Réserve faunique de Sept-Îles-Port-Cartier

Wildlife reserve characterized by boreal forest and glacier-sculpted valleys, home to abundant and varied animal life. Visitor reception center in Port-Cartier.
Note : Unpaved roads in the reserve.

Archipelago and bird sanctuary. Observation of marine mammals. Hiking trails.

  Every year, entire shoals of tiny capelin roll with the tide and landon the beaches in late spring. A natural phenomenon celebrated with varius festivities in town and on the shore (May).
